You can now get an email when a new conversation starts. Each conversation now records the page where the visitor chatted.

New

  • On the Human Support page, turn on new-conversation notifications and add the email addresses to notify. The email goes out after the first visitor message. See Notifications.
  • Each conversation now records the page URL where the visitor chatted. Conversation details show it. If the visitor moves to another page during the chat, a marker shows the change between messages.
  • The chat history CSV export has a new page URL column. See Review conversations.
  • Turn on Hide Terms After Acceptance to hide the terms checkbox after the visitor checks it. The checkbox shows again in a new browser session. See Add a disclaimer and ask for consent.
  • The Zendesk Chat integration now hands the conversation to a Zendesk agent when the AI escalates. It also saves the name, email, and custom fields from the Zendesk pre-chat form as lead data. (This integration was later retired.)

Improved

  • More widget text can now be translated, including the phone number field on the lead form and the message that confirms a lead was collected. See Change the widget language and text.
  • Screen readers now read correct labels for the chat button and the tooltip close button.
  • Team members can now use webhooks. See Webhooks.
  • When a visitor gets a sign-in code email from your chatbot, a reply to that email goes to the chatbot owner.

Fixed

  • Escalation after a lead form now works every time.
  • The lead form now shows for returning visitors.
  • In channel integrations, a visitor who asks for a human is now escalated. Before, the visitor got no reply.
  • The chat history export no longer includes resolved conversations when you export only open ones.
  • A backtick in the tooltip text no longer stops the widget from loading.
  • Accounts with a cancelled subscription now see the correct billing page.
