Use this guide to add content from Notion, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or Box. You sign in to the app, choose pages or files, and SiteGPT adds them to your chatbot’s content. For GitHub, see Connect GitHub. SharePoint and Confluence are available only through the API, CLI, and MCP. See Ways to use SiteGPT.

Before you start

  • An active plan. Each plan has a page limit. See Plans and limits.
  • The Super Admin, Admin, or Manager role on the chatbot. Agents cannot add content.
  • An account in the app that can open the pages or files you want.
  • A workspace without HIPAA mode. HIPAA workspaces cannot use cloud connectors. See HIPAA.

Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or Box

1

Open the app's connector

In the chatbot sidebar, go to Files & Data Sources and select the app, for example Google Drive.
2

Connect your account

Select Connect Account. The app’s sign-in page opens.
3

Allow access

Sign in and allow SiteGPT to access your files.
4

Choose files

In the file picker that opens, select the files for the chatbot.
5

Wait for the files

Back in SiteGPT, the message “Files selected! Syncing automatically.” appears. SiteGPT adds and trains the files.
If the files do not appear after a short time, select Sync Selected Files.

Notes for each app

Notion

In Notion, you choose the pages during sign-in. There is no separate file picker.
1

Open the Notion connector

In the chatbot sidebar, go to Files & Data Sources > Notion.
2

Connect your account

Select Connect Account. Notion’s sign-in page opens.
3

Choose pages in Notion

In Notion, select the pages SiteGPT can access, then allow access.
4

Sync the pages

Back in SiteGPT, select Sync Selected Pages.
SiteGPT can only see the pages you share with it in Notion. To change which pages it can see, select Modify Page Selection.

Add more files later

  1. Open the app’s connector in Files & Data Sources.
  2. Select the settings icon next to the connection name.
  3. Select Add more files, and pick the files.
To connect a second account for the same app, open the connection list and select New Connection.

Check that it works

  1. Go to Files & Data Sources > Files List.
  2. Wait for each file or page to show Success.
  3. Ask the chatbot a question that one of the files answers.

Keep connected files up to date

Files from connected apps do not update on a schedule. When a file changes in the app:
  1. In Files List, select the file.
  2. Select Resync N Selected.
SiteGPT fetches the file from the app again. See Keep content up to date.

Disconnect an app

  1. Open the app’s connector in Files & Data Sources.
  2. Select the settings icon next to the connection name.
  3. Select Revoke Access. The message “Connection revoked successfully” appears.
Revoking access keeps the content that is already trained. To remove that content, select the files in Files List and select Delete N Selected. To connect again later, select Grant Access or Reconnect.

Troubleshooting

For Notion, select Modify Page Selection and share the page with SiteGPT. For other apps, select Add more files and pick the file. Your account in the app must be able to open the file.
Point to the Failed badge to see the reason. SiteGPT reads the text in files. Image-only files and scanned PDFs give no text. See Upload files.
Your plan’s page limit was reached. Delete content you do not need, or upgrade. See Plans and limits.
