Live in minutes
Add SiteGPT to Slack
Train your chatbot
Point SiteGPT at your website, help docs, or files. It learns your content in minutes and answers in your brand voice.
Add to Slack in one click
Open the Slack integration page in your SiteGPT dashboard and press Add to Slack. Pick the channel where escalation alerts should land. No tokens, no manifests.
Invite it anywhere
Run /invite @SiteGPT in any channel. The bot introduces itself and starts answering, and you can DM it directly too.
Built for how teams actually use Slack
Answers on mention
Mention @SiteGPT in any channel or thread and it replies with an answer grounded in your content, with sources to verify.
A home channel, no mentions needed
The channel you pick at install time gets an instant answer to every message. Perfect for a #support or #ask channel.
Summon with an emoji
React with the question mark emoji on any message, including a teammate’s, and SiteGPT answers it in that thread.
Hand off with a checkmark
React with the white check mark and the bot goes quiet in that thread while a human takes over. It keeps the transcript, and a question mark brings it back.
Escalations that find a human
When someone asks for a human anywhere, SiteGPT escalates the conversation and posts an alert with a link to the thread in your chosen channel.
Works where your customers are
Public channels, private channels, DMs, and Slack Connect channels you share with customers. Deflect the repetitive questions before your team picks them up.
Slack + SiteGPT, answered
- Does SiteGPT work in private channels and Slack Connect?
- Yes. Invite the bot to any channel, public or private, including Slack Connect channels you share with customers, and it answers there like anywhere else.
- Will it answer every message in every channel?
- No. Outside its home channel the bot only replies when it is addressed: a mention, a DM, a thread it is already part of, or a question mark reaction. The home channel you pick at install time is the one place it answers everything.
- What happens when someone asks for a human?
- The conversation is escalated and handed to your team: the bot stops answering in that thread, your dashboard shows the takeover, and an alert with a link to the thread is posted in your chosen Slack channel.
- Does SiteGPT train AI models on our Slack messages?
- No. Conversations are stored so your team can review them in the dashboard, and they are not used to train AI models.
- Can answers be wrong?
- AI answers can be inaccurate. SiteGPT grounds every answer in your own content and cites its sources so anyone can verify, and a human can take over any conversation at any time.
- Do I need to create my own Slack app?
- No. Installation is one click through the official SiteGPT Slack app. Existing custom-app setups keep working, but new connections use the one-click install.
