How to delete your SiteGPT account and data, and what is deleted or kept.

Delete your SiteGPT account

This page explains how to delete your SiteGPT account and its data. It covers the SiteGPT website and the SiteGPT apps for iPhone and Android, which use the same account.

Delete it yourself

  1. Sign in at sitegpt.ai in a web browser. The apps cannot delete accounts.
  2. Open the Billing page at sitegpt.ai/billing. This link works for every account, including team members who do not see Billing in the menu.
  3. If you have an active subscription, cancel it first on that page. An account with an active subscription cannot be deleted, so that billing never continues for a deleted account.
  4. Find Delete account at the bottom of the page and select Delete account….
  5. Type DELETE to confirm, then select Delete my account forever.

Deletion starts at once. When it finishes, you are signed out on the website and the apps can no longer sign in to the account.

Or ask us to delete it

Email privacy@sitegpt.ai from the email address on your account and ask us to delete your account. We confirm the request through that address and complete it within one month.

What is deleted

  • Your account profile: your name, email address, and profile picture.
  • Every chatbot you own, with its trained content, uploaded files, conversations, and leads.
  • Your team memberships and the invitations you sent.
  • Your API tokens and your connections to AI assistants.
  • Your app sign-ins and push notification tokens.
  • Your contact record at our email providers and your product analytics profile.

What is kept

  • Billing records. Invoices and payment records stay with Paddle, our merchant of record, for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Server logs that may mention your account. They are deleted on our providers' normal schedules.
  • Other teams' data. If you were a member of another team, that team's chatbots, conversations, and leads belong to the team's owner and are not deleted. The replies you wrote in those conversations stay part of that team's history. Only your membership is removed.

Delete some data without deleting your account

  • Delete a chatbot, a conversation, or a lead from your SiteGPT dashboard at any time.
  • To remove the app's push notification token for a phone, sign out of the app on that phone.

If you chatted with a SiteGPT chatbot on another company's website, that company controls your conversation. Ask that company to delete it. If you write to us instead, we pass your request to them.
