# Sign in and manage your profile

> Sign in with an email link, change your name and picture, and delete your account.

## Sign in

SiteGPT has no passwords. You sign in with a link that SiteGPT sends to your email.

    Go to [sitegpt.ai/login](https://sitegpt.ai/login).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your email">
    Type your email address in **Email address**. Then select **Sign in / Sign up**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the email">
    The page says **Please check your email**. Open the email from SiteGPT and select the sign-in link. If you do not see the email, check your spam folder.

The sign-in link expires after 1 hour. If it expired, go back to the sign-in page and ask for a new link.

To create an account, use the same steps. If no account exists for your email, the link creates one.

### Check that it works

The dashboard opens and shows your **Chatbots** page.

## Change your name or picture

<Steps>

    In the top navigation, select **Profile**.

  <Step title="Change your picture">
    In **Avatar**, choose an image file. It uploads right away. To remove the current picture, select **Remove**.

  <Step title="Change your name">
    Type your new name in **Name**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    Select **Save Changes**.
  </Step>

Your name and picture show to other team members on chatbots you share.

## Change your email address

You cannot change your email address yourself. Email [support@sitegpt.ai](mailto:support@sitegpt.ai) to ask for a change.

## Delete your account

<Warning>
  Deleting your account is permanent. You cannot undo it.
</Warning>

What is deleted:

* Every chatbot you own, with its content, files, conversations, and leads.
* Your membership in chatbots that other people own, and your pending invites.
* Your profile, including your picture.

Billing records are kept, as tax law requires.

  <Step title="Cancel your subscription">
    If you have a subscription, cancel it first. You cannot delete an account with an active, paused, or past-due subscription. See [Cancel your subscription](/docs/guides/account/billing#cancel-your-subscription).

  <Step title="Open Billing">
    In the top navigation, select **Billing**. If you have a plan and a chatbot is open, this link is named **Your Account**. Scroll to **Delete account** at the bottom of the page.

    If you only joined chatbots that other people own, the navigation has no **Billing** link. Open [sitegpt.ai/billing](https://sitegpt.ai/billing) instead.

  <Step title="Start the deletion">
    Select **Delete account…**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm">
    Type `DELETE` in **Type DELETE to confirm**. Then select **Delete my account forever**.

### Check that it works

You are signed out. If any step fails, your account is kept so that you can try again.
