# Manage your plan and billing

> Change your plan, buy add-ons, manage a trial, cancel, update payment details, and check your usage.

## Before you start

* **Account:** billing belongs to your own SiteGPT account. It is not part of a chatbot, and team member roles do not give access to it.
* **Plan details:** for what each plan includes, see [Plans and limits](/docs/reference/plans-and-limits). For prices, see [sitegpt.ai/pricing](https://sitegpt.ai/pricing).

## Where to find billing

In the top navigation, select **Billing**. The **Plans & Billing** page opens.

* If you have a plan and a chatbot is open, the same links are named **Your Account** and **Your Usage**.
* Each person sees only their own plan and billing. If you are a member of someone else's chatbot, you do not see their plan.
* If you have never had a plan and you only work on chatbots that other people own, you do not see **Billing** or **Usage** in the navigation. You see **Start Trial** instead.

## Buy or remove an add-on

You can buy add-ons on any plan while you have a subscription. After you schedule a cancellation, the add-on buttons are hidden.

### Check that it works

The add-on shows on the **Plans & Billing** page with the date it renews.

## Manage your free trial

While your trial runs, the **Billing** page shows how many days are left and when the trial ends.

* **End the trial now:** select **End trial & bill now**, and confirm. Your card is charged right away and your paid plan starts.
* **Extend the trial:** select **Cancel Subscription** in the **Danger Zone**. In the dialog, select **Extend Trial by 7 Days**. Tell us what you need more time for, in at least 25 characters. Then select **Extend trial by 7 days**.

  </Step>
</Steps>

When the cancellation takes effect depends on your subscription:

| Subscription                    | What happens                                                            |
| ------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Active (paid) | Your chatbots keep working until the end of the current billing period. |
| Free trial, or any other status | The subscription ends immediately and your chatbots stop answering. |

When the subscription ends, your plan limits drop to zero. Your chatbots stop answering visitors, and you cannot add or resync content. You can still sign in and delete content, chatbots, or your account. SiteGPT schedules the chatbots and their data (conversations, documents, and leads) for deletion no earlier than 30 days after the subscription ends. At least seven days before the deletion date, SiteGPT emails the account owner that date. To keep your chatbots, subscribe again before that date. To delete them sooner, delete your chatbots or your account yourself.

### Check that it works

For a paid plan, the **Billing** page shows **You have canceled your subscription.** and the date your plan expires.
